English Language Training for Lecturers to Study Abroad from Dikti

In order to improve the English skills of university teachers who are planning to pursue further study abroad, the Directorate of Educators and Educative Administrative Personnels, Directorate General of Higher Education, the Ministry of Culture and Education, organizes English Language Training in 2012. Followings are the requirements:

1. 1. The training will be held at the Language Centers in Universitas Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, Gadjah Mada University, Universitas Negeri Malang, and IALF  (in Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali).
2. 2. Interested candidates must have recommendation letter from the head of the university, to be submitted no later than February 1, 2012.
3. 3. Participants are permanent lecturers and have NIDN (National Lecturer Index).
4. 4. Participants are no older than 45 years of age.
5. 5. Participants have to firstly take placement test at UI, ITB, UGM, UM or IALF on February 3, free of charge.
6. 6. Accommodation and travel fees are to be covered by the participants’ recommending institution.
7. 7. Participants who will have passed the placement test will be required to take English language training program in the language center where they have previously taken the placement test.
8. 8. The program starts from February and end in July 2012.
9. 9. Expenses for travel, living, and local transportation during the training will have to be covered by the participants’ respective home institution.
10. 10. During the training, participants are required to attend at least 85 percents of the total meetings. Attendance will be evaluated monthly. Failure to meet the require will cause the participant to be sent back to their home institutions and will not receive recommendation to study abroad under the Directorate General of Higher Education scholarship program.
11. 11. Following documents are to be presented on the first day of the training:

• Permission letter from the participant’s higher institution
• Statement letter on the participation, with Rp. 6000 stamp, officially signed by the head of the participant’s institution head. (form enclosed)
