16th Mathematics National Conference in Unpad FMIPA

Mathematics National Conference is a routine event held since 1976 by IndoMS, collaborating with Department of Mathematics from all universities in Indonesia. Ever since 2000, this event is held bi-annually in turns. In 2012, the 16^th Mathematics National Conference will be hosted by Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Unpad on July 3-6, 2012, at Japanese Study Center (PSBJ) Auditorium, Unpad Faculty of Letters, Jl. Raya Bandung-Sumedang Km. 21, Jatinangor, Sumedang, 45363, Jawa Barat.

This year, Mathematics National Conference will bring the theme, “Matematika sebagai Bahtera Pendidikan untuk Mencerdaskan Kehidupan Bangsa” (Mathematics as The Educational Means to Improve National ????). This conference is open for lecturers, teachers, researchers, users, observers, and all mathematics fans in Indonesia to present the results of their research.

Programs:

1. Studium Generale; public lecture by Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad M. Ramli, S.H., M.H., FCBArb (General Director for Intellectual Rights – HKI) and Prof. Dr. Edy Soewono (KKMIK-ITB).
2. Plennary Sessions; paper presentations by Mathematicians, and experts of Mathematic Education from domestic and foreign regions.
3. Parallel Session; presentations by speakers approved by the committee in 9 groups.
4. IndoMS Congress; meeting for all members of IndoMS to elect new administrative team for 2012-2014 period.
