Unpad Won First Place for Best Archival Institution at ANRI Award 2016

[18/08/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran won first place meraih for Best Archival Institution State University at Indonesia National Artchive (ANRI) Award 2016.
Minister of State Apparatus Empowerement and Bureaucratic Reform, Asman Abnur, SE., M.Si., presented the award to Rector, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, at ANRI Award Night 2016 in Jakarta, Wednesday (17/08).

In the Universities category, 6 large state universities are nominated by ANRI as the National Best Archival Institute where Universitas Padjadjaran ranked first, followed by University of Indonesia in second place and the Jakarta State Polytechnic in third. Fourth place was achieved by General Sudirman University, fifth place by the Open University, and sixth by Semarang State University.

“Archive is the heart of the information, the information center. If the center of the information was not managed properly how would a local leader take proper decision, and also in the Ministry. Therefore, today we launch new national movement of Awareness of the National Archives, “said the Minister.

In addition to the scene of the award to the winners of the Best Archival Institution, winner of archivists Model National, as well as the winners of Essay Contest Archives, the awarding of ANRI Award 2016 night, is also a moment to declare national movement of Awareness of the National Archives, the launch of the logo of latest ANRI, as well as the inauguration of March of the Indonesia Archive.

ANRI head, Dr. Mustari Irawan, MPA., in his speech, said that the national archives have a role in building clean, effective, democratic, and trusted government by building transparency and accountability of government performance.

“ANRI is not only responsible for saving and preserving archives as evidence of national responsibility, but also to support the implementation of good governance towards better governance. This is done through development efforts archival continuously so as to make the archives as information that can be used publicly accountable and transparent manner,” said Mustari Irawan.

Also attending the event to receive the award with the Rector were Director of Governance and Public Communication Padjadjaran University, Dr. Soni A. Nulhaqim, M.Sc., Head of Unit Archives, Prof. Nandang Alamsah Deliarnoor., Head of Archival Administration Subdivision Unpad, Anita Trikusumawati and staff UPT Unpad Archival, Anne Dewi Yulianti. *
