Popy Rufaidah, PhD., Won Peruri Best Paper Award in AGBA’s 13 World Congress

[Unpad.ac.id, 1/12/2016] Lecturer of Faculty Economics and Business Universitas Padjadjaran, Popy Rufaidah, SE., MBA., PhD., gained an international achievent at The Academy for Global Business Advancement (AGBA) the 13th Annual World Congress held in Solo, Central Java, Saturday (26/11). After competing with 400 papers from diverse topics and 31 countries, Popy won the Peruri Best Paper Award.

AGBA is a non-profit organization from the United States with the mission of improving networking between academics and experts from business schools around the world. AGBA has more than thousand of members from 50 countries.

Business and Entrepreneurship Development in a globalized era was AGBA theme for the 13th Annual World Congress and in harmony with the Popy’s competed paper topic about marketing measurement capability of SMEs (Marketing Capability of the SME: A measurement scale).

The international event was held in collaboration of Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas 11 Maret, featuring Director of Research and Community Service Kemristekdikti, Prof Ocky Karna Rajasa as keynote speaker.

In addition, international speakers presented their diverse topics, among others, Associate Professor Jeffrey Beal (University of Colorado Denver, USA), known for his research regarding potential predatory journal and has become a world reference academics; Mr. Sumeet Rohatgi, Regional Manager Asia Pacific and Scopus from Elsevier publications in journals indexed presenting managed Scopus Elsevier; Prof. Norman S. Wright of Utah Valley University, U.S. suggesting ways to achieve AACSB accreditation; Prof. Gary L. Frankwick, University of Texas at El Paso, USA peeling the development model of world-class research. As well as various other international speakers from the universities of the United States, Britain, Malaysia,

Popy as Lecturer Department of Management and Business FEB Unpad examined the marketing capabilities of SMEs consists of the ability to follow changes in the environment for business development, marketing strategy development and efficiency in their operations.

Her achievement in winning Peruri Best Paper Award also resulted in Popy’s paper to be published by AGBA in a Scopus indexed journal.*
