Universitas Padjadjaran strengthens cooperation with Central Bangka
Regency Government. This is marked with the signing of the Joint Agreement by the Rector of Unpad,Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad with the Regent of Central Bangka Ir. H. Ibnu Saleh, M.M., in the

“Now that the activities are commenced, we have to guard it, so that we can roll out other
motions we can synergize or expand better,” said Rector.
On the occasion, Ibn Saleh revealed that the cooperation between the Government of Central Bangka
Regency with Unpad has long been done. With the signing of this Joint Agreement, it is expected that
the partnership will be expanded, especially related to the development and empowerment of human
resources.

Human resources that want to be developed include in the field of fishery and marine. Therefore, it is
expected that cooperation can be done specifically with the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science
Unpad. “Because our marine potential has not been fully handled,” said Ibnu.
In line with Ibnu, the Rector revealed that strengthening human resources is very important to do.
With strong human resources, it is expected to have a positive impact on regional development
“With a strong human capital, we believe we can develop things. Especially optimizing other
resources that we have, “said Rector.
Furtherly, Rector said thatUnpad always uses pentahelix approach in carrying out its activities. Thus, when thisagreement is signed, the collaboration will not only be undertaken by Unpad with the Central Bangka
Regency Government, but also with various partners from both parties. It is said that the Rector, one
of the success of universities is the benefit for the development of the region.
“When this MoU is signed it means to be the entrance not only with Unpad, but also with the various
capacities we have on our other partners,” said Rector. *
