“Unpad is very happy this year, there are so many MoUs that has been followed up,” said the Head of International Office of Unpad, dr. Ronny, M.Kes., AIFO, Ph.D. when met during the orientation on Tuesday (10/31).

Dr. Ronny explained, this year many partner universities at the international level sent many students. Foreign students will sit in for formal studies at Unpad for one year.

Within one year, students are invited to take a study program that suits their interests. At the end of the lecture period, students will get academic grades from Unpad. In addition, students will also learn Indonesian at the Indonesian Language Program for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences.

Dr. Ronny said, the orientation carried out included a complete introduction to the university, starting from the vision and mission, learning, study and academic programs, to various other supporting facilities. The introduction of this campus is an effort to introduce foreign students as part of Unpad academic community.

“Unpad is their home. This means that thier problems during studying here must be addressed together, “said Dr. Ronny.

This orientation also presented number of speakers from the Immigration Office and Health Insurance Office.

The orientation activity was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Arry Bainus, M.A., at the Faculty of Communication Sciences Unpad Postgraduate Auditorium, Jatinangor, Tuesday (10/30). Dr. Arry also pinned the alma mater jacket symbolically to representatives of foreign students as a sign of acceptance into Unpad residents.

As for the student’s country of origin are the People’s Republic of China, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Laos, Morocco, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Sudan, Cambodia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Netherlands, Malaysia, Germany, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, Azerbaijan , France, Russia and Ireland. *
