[unpad.ac.id, 17/10/2018] Unpad has three new professors according to the Academic Position Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia. The three professors included Prof. dr. Arief S. Kartasasmita, Sp.M., M.Kes., Ph.D.; Prof. dr. Hermawan Nagar Rasyid, Sp. O.T. (K), M.T. (BME), Ph.D., FICS; and Prof. Dr. Yosini Deliana, Ir., M.S.
Officially, the Rector of Unpad Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad handed the Academic Position Decree to two Deans in accordance with the knowledge of the three professors, in an event held in the Executive Lounge room of the Unpad Rector Building, Jatinangor, Wednesday (10/17). The two Deans are the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Dr. med. Setiawan, dr., and the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Dr. Ir. Sudarjat, M.P.
Prof. Arief S. Kartasasmita was appointed in the academic position of professor of ophthalmology and Prof. Hermawan Nagar Rasyid was professor of orthopedics; both at the Faculty of Medicine. While Prof. Yosini Deliana was appointed in the academic position of professor of agricultural economics at the Faculty of Agriculture.
In addition to submitting new professors decrees, the Rector also reappointed 9 retired lecturers at Unpad to return to teaching as non-civil servants permanent lecturers with special lecturer master numbers (NIDK). This appointment is in accordance with the Work Agreement between Unpad and 9 retired professors.
The nine lecturers were Prof. Dr. Ir. Hj. Yuyun Yuwariah, AS., M.S., and Dr. Ir. Hj. Yayat Rochayat Suradinata, M.P., from the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Nurpilihan Bafdal, Ir., M.Sc., from the Faculty of Agricultural Industrial Technology, Prof. Dr. Ambrosius Purba, Dr., AIFO, and Prof. Dr. Endang Sutedja, Dr., Sp. KK (K) from the Faculty of Medicine.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Husein Hernadi Bakti from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. H. Adjat Sudrajat, M.Sc., from the Faculty of Geological Engineering, and Prof. Dr. H. Sucherly, S.E., M.S., and Prof. Dr. Hj. Dwi Kartini, S.E., Spect., Lict., From the Faculty of Economics and Business.
The Rector handed over this work agreement letter to the Dean of each faculty. In his remarks the Rector said, the effort to reactivate these retired lecturers could encourage various positive developments for Unpad.
“With the appointment of new professors as well as the activation of retirement lecturers, it is hoped that it will become a greater force for us,” the Rector said. *
