2018 Public Agency Information Disclosure Award, Unpad Entered a Fairly Informative Category
[unpad.ac.id, 7/11/2018] Unpad entered as a university “Fairly Informative” category in the announcement of the 2018 Public Agency Information Disclosure Award held at the Palace of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta, Monday (5/11) .
Unpad, together with 17 state universities in Indonesia, were included in the category of “Fairly Informative Public Bodies” based on monitoring and evaluation (monev) that has been carried out by the Central Information Commission (KIP). The qualifications in this category range from 60 to 79.9.
Head of KIP Gede Narayana said, as many as 460 Public Agencies were conducted monitoring and evaluation this year. Monev is conducted by sending a questionnaire that must be filled out by the participants. Of these, 289 Public Bodies returned the questionnaire files.
There were 2 main monitoring and evaluation indicators in the questionnaire sent by KI Pusat, namely: website development (website) related to Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID), and public information announcements, so that public information can be accessed easily and quickly by the public.
“Furthermore, with the participating public agencies returning the questionnaires, we added an assessment of the indicators of Public Information Services and Provision of Public Information, followed by the Public Agency Presentation to assess commitment, coordination, and innovation in the implementation of Public Information Openness,” said Gede .
The Director of Governance and Public Communication of Unpad, Aulia Iskandarsyah, M.Psi., M.Sc., Ph.D., said that the acquisition of the “Fairly Informative” title would be the basis for Unpad to continue to improve the quality of public information services. In principle, the aim of public information openness is to realize the implementation of good public services through the provision of adequate and good quality information.
“In the future, innovative methods will be developed, such as mobile apps for information services, as well as improving the quality of information management resources at Unpad,” said Aulia.
