The academic community of Universitas Padjadjaran got succeeded to be the winner in the event “Green World Awards” in 2017 as an institution that apply the best environmental management. This result was achieved thanks to the research conducted by the cross-scientific team in Unpad who joined in “Sustainable Water Resources Team” related to research in the field of sustainable water resources.

The research was conducted by prof. Dr. Hendarmawan, Ir., M.Sc., Dr. Edi Suryadi, Ir., M.T., Dr. Agus Rahmat, M.Pd., Dr. Cipta Endayana, M.T., Teuku Yan Waliana Young Iskandarsyah, PhD, Undang Mardiana, M.T., Petrus Satiman, M.T., Satrio, M.T., and Febriwan Mochamad, M.T. In addition to collaborating between faculties, this research is also supported by BATAN and Pusair.
The research succeeded in becoming a champion among 500 other competitors from all over the world.
The award of trophies and certificates will be made at The RTA Auditorium, Dubai, Monday (11/12). In this case, Unpad was represented by Prof. Hendarmawan, Dr. Edi, and Dr. Cipta Endayana. The award is given directly by The Green Organization Founder Roger Wolens.
Not only that, Unpad delegates also had the opportunity to present their research results. The results of this study will be published in The Green Book, a leading international reference related to some of the best environmental management applications from around the world.
The Green Award is given by The Green Organization, an international, independent, non-profit organization, and not affiliated with any political group. This award has been held since 1994 ago.
It is dedicated to recognition, rewarding, and promoting the best environmental management practices around the world. The organization is fully supported by The Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, and the Chartered Institution for Wastes Management, and other independent organizations.
