In research, Unpad Faculty of Agriculture have succeed developing excellent products based on the field of science. Some research results have gained intellectual rights like Embryo Sac-specific Gene with patent in Europe and soy bean “Manglayang” and “Arjasari” varieties which gained breeders rights and adopted by the society.

Team from Faculty of Agriculture has also developed IPAT-BO rice cultivation system (Intensification of Controlled Aerobe Rice – organic based) which has been socialized to many places in Indonesia in cooperation with Research and Technology Ministry. Soil Biotechnology laboratory collaborated with PT Rajawali II Jatitujuh, Majalengka in developing and commercializing biological fertilizer with cendawan mikoriza arbuskular (CMA) as its basic materials. Vertebrata laboratory has also developed and commercialized rodenticides.

For developing the institution, some academic programs and departments in Faculty of Agriculture has gained Grant Competition Program (PHK). The development funds are generally used to improve L-RAISE (Leadership, Relevance, Academic atmosphere, Internal Management, and Sustainability) of the institution.
