Lecture Buildings
Unpad Faculty of Animal Husbandry has 5 main buildings used for laboratories, lecture rooms, lecturer room, and administration room. The lecture rooms are in building II, III, IV, and IV. Meanwhile, building I is the Dean Building and Administration.
In general, the capacities of each lecture rooms are for 40 students. Some has capacity ut to 60 till 80 students. Besides that, the faculty has 3 other lecture rooms particularly for postgraduate programs, 2 amphitheatres with 120 capacities, and a hall with 300 capacities.
The facilities that support learning and research in Unpad Faculty of Animal Husbandry are lecture equipments and facilities (OHP and LCD), laboratory tools, studio, workshop, experimental garden, library, and ICT with hotspot. Laboratory tools, studio, stall, workshop, and experimental garden are all managed by each laboratory. All of the facilities other than used by each laboratory are also used cross laboratories, as a supporting facility in learning process.
Library
Library as a supporting facility is very important in student learning process. There is library managed directly by the faculty and 3 other facilities managed by departments (Animal Production, Animal Nutrition, and Animal Social and Economy).
Laboratories
There are 13 laboratories in Unpad Faculty of Animal Husbandry:
- Production of dairy cattle
- Production of beef cattle
- Production of poultry
- Biometrics and livestock breeding
- Livestock reproduction
- Nutrition and chemical ruminant feed
- Non-ruminant livestock nutrition and feed industry
- Fodder crops
- Cattle physiology and biochemistry
- Farm product technology processing
- Microbiology and waste treatment
- Ranch economy
- Sociology and counseling
Besides used for student practicum activity, also conventional lecturer/ student research, some of the laboratories are for process technology and biotechnology based activities.
Other facilities
Other supporting facilities include computerized service, English language service, data and information processing, also cages for poultry, sheep, dairy cattle, rabbits, and beef cattle, to support zoo technical skills practicum. Other facilities are industry scale to develop entrepreneurship and Sustainable Livestock Techno Park (SLTP) supported with:
- Teaching farm beef cattle
- Teaching farm broiler
- Test farm broiler and layer
- Test farm sheep
- Test farm beef cattle
- Environmental friendly poultry slaughter
- Waste study and treatment unit
- Feed mills unit
- Workshop unit
One of the programs developed in Sustainable Livestock Techno Park is Farm Stay, a social and entrepreneurship program for students, conducted by Unpad Faculty of Animal Husbandry Alumni Bond (Ika Fapet).
