Cooperation and superior activities of The Faculty in national and international scope are
National Cooperation
1. Indonesia doctors competence examination. This is a standardization effort for medical education in Indonesia based on national law no.29/2009 about Medical Practices. The Faculty of Medicine of UNPAD is the coordinator for the national written/paper-based examination.
2. Cooperation in education, research and health services with 10 hospitals and 71 public health centres in West Java. It is the Faculty commitment in decreasing the gap of medical professionals availability in many regions – particularly in West Java and to support human performance development index in many regencies or cities in West Java
Overseas Cooperation
1. IDEAL HKTM (Hongkong International Consortium for Sharing Medical Student Assessment Banks). The aim of the consortium is to develop international database for medical students learning evaluation.
2.WFME – World Federation of Medical Education. As a member of WFME, the Faculty always try to do its best to reach the medical education global standard
3.Twinning Program with Fakulti Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and international program of the Faculty
4.I-MHERE (Indonesian Management of Higher Education for Relevance and Efficiency). It is a competitive grant which came from Directorate General of Higher Education/DIKTI and funded by the World Bank loan. The aim is to increase product oriented research activity in developing local resources.
5.IMPACT – Integrated Management of HIV/AIDS Prevention, Advocacy, Control and Treatment. This is a cooperation of UNPAD and 3 European universities (Nijmegen University, Maastricht University – both are in Netherland, and University of Antwerpen, Belgium) to prevent and arrange treatment efforts for HIV/AIDS patients
6.Collaborative research on Zoonotic avian influenza, the human-animal interface in West Java. The research is a cooperation of UNPAD and The Children Hospital of Colorado Health Sciences Centre in Denver, USA. The aim of the cooperation is to search the influenza virus transmission pattern in the areas of Bandung and West Java.
