Lecture Buildings
Unpad Faculty of Medicine has seven main buildings. Five of them are located in the campus at Jatinangor while two other are at Banda Street and Eyckman Street. The five buildings in the campus at Jatinangor are:
- A1 building, used for education administration processes.
- A2 building, consist of Physiology, Pharmacology, and Biochemistry practicum section, with tutorial, skill’s lab room, and staff room in each section.
- A3 building, used for undergraduate medical education in form of interactive class rooms up to 300 people capacity, 30 clinical skill laboratory, and digital information system supported library.
- A4 building, used for staff room and practicum of Anatomy, Parasitological, Microbiology and Biology cell sections, as well as 30 tutorial rooms completed with intra-internet connected computers, library, and tools to support discussions.
- A5 building, used for general lecture rooms, 30 clinical skill laboratory, 30 tutorial rooms, and a computer lab to access computer and implement computer statistic science accessible freely by students and staff.
Meanwhile, the building in Banda Street is used for Obstetrics Diploma Program education. Then the Faculty of Medicine building in Eyckman Street is used for doctor professional program, postgraduate, and specialist doctor program (PPDS) education center. There is also a Health Research Unit and Teaching Hospital in the same building.
Each class rooms are facilitated with multimedia equipments (computer and LCD) for presentations. Up to now, the faculty has two parallel class rooms located in A3 and A5 buildings. Besides that, there are also other rooms spread throughout Hasan Sadikin Hospital.
Library
Unpad Faculty of Medicine library includes the center library at the campus in Jatinangor, Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS), Teaching Hospital building, and section libraries spread in every section whether in Jatinangor or RSHS and Cicendo Eye Hospital. The university library also has a significant role in supporting education process.
Unpad Faculty of Medicine is located at A3 building and provides 30,836 collections in form of text books, national and international scientific journals, bulletin, magazine, and dissertation/thesis/mini thesis. Other than that, there is also an electronic journal facility which provides about 300 titles every day and accessible freely by Unpad Faculty of Medicine academic civics.
The faculty realize the importance of library to support education process, therefore it is supported with a comfortable room with AC, about 100 chairs in reading room, and internet connected computers to access e-library, a web based library service to give easiness to library users in searching collections without distant or time boundaries.
Laboratory
Unpad Faculty of Medicine has four laboratories to facilitate lectures. All four of them are:
- Clinical Skill Laboratory
- Biomedical Laboratory
- Computer Laboratory
- Learning Result Evaluation Laboratory
Other Facilities
Unpad Faculty of Medicine has a student dormitory named Bale Padjadjaran Dormitory. It was first built in 2006 and has 3 floors with 50 bed rooms. Previously, it was used to accommodate foreign students in their first years. Then in 2008, Bale Padjadjaran III was built with 2 other blocks to accommodate all Faculty of Medicine undergraduate students in their first year.
The purpose is to give a chance for student to adapt during their first year in Unpad Faculty of Medicine. Besides providing comfortable living place, the aim of the facility is also so students can have responsibility, togetherness, and cooperate with other students from different ethnic groups, culture, and environments. By living in the dormitory, all students can actively participate in various student activities and build high discipline.
