Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) Unpad was established based on Minister of Education and Culture Decree No.66971/UU/60, on 12 August 1960. The academic programs hold by FISIP Unpad varies and aim to produce lading experts in social and political science field. Therefore, the subjects in the faculty gives students understanding about social and political science basic concepts, as well as specific academic program which give professional capacity in the field each student chose. The subjects consist of theory and methodology subjects. Besides that, students are also given the capability to understand phenomenon in the society through college field work

To be an institution of higher education that has strong commitment to the excellence of social and political sciences.

Mission:

• To conduct high quality education of social and political sciences in order to produce competitive graduates, both morally and academically which are beneficial for the society.
• To develop research and community service in supporting education, science and technology development for academicians, government, industry, and society.
• To conduct education management through the application of quality assurance.
• To apply professional management system based on transparency and accountability to create effective and efficient institutional relations.
• To conduct continuous cooperative relations through the applicant of equality, partnership, and understanding principles.
