Lecture Buildings
Unpad Faculty of Technique of Geology is located in Unpad campus in Jatinangor and Ir. H. Djuanda Street No. 4 Bandung. At Jatinangor, the faculty uses the Geology Building and Basic Science Service Center (PPBS) building. There will be 3 more buildings with 3 floors built in the campus at Jatinangor.
Lectures are spread in 3 locations, Faculty of Technique of Geology Dean Building in Jatinangor, Dago Campus on Ir. H. Djuanda Street No.4 Bandung, and PPBS in Jatinangor. Lecture rooms in Geology building is facilitated with multimedia which makes it possible for good audio-visual material presentations.
For classes with a big number of participants, the auditorium is most commonly used. General Subject for 1st and 2nd semester students is done in PPBS which is also used by students from other faculties like Medicine and Pharmacy.
Other lectures with fewer participants are mostly done in the 3rd floor and 2nd floor of Geology Building, also the lecture rooms in Dago campus.
Library
The faculty library is located on the 1st floor of Geology Building. It provides textbooks, journals, geology maps, geology bulletin, thesis, job training reports, research proposals, and popular books related with Geology Sciences. All of the rooms are facilitated with internet.
Laboratories
In the learning process, practicum holds a significant role. Usually there are 2-4 subjects with practicum in each semester. To support better practicum, Unpad Faculty of Technique of Geology is facilitated with laboratories located in Geology Building 1st and 2nd floor, also the PPBS Building for basic subjects. Other than that, there is also a laboratory in the Directorate of Energy and Mineral Resources in Bandung for practicum.
There are ten laboratories in Unpad Faculty of Technique of Geology for different studies, they are:
1. Dynamic Geology Laboratory: Geology structure mapping and analysis, also geology structure application in mineral exploration.
2. Geophysics Laboratory: Geophysics survey, petro physics analysis, and well log analysis.
3. Geochemical and Geothermal Laboratory I: Geochemical exploration, analysis, and geothermal exploration.
4. Geomorphology and Remote Sensing Laboratory: Photo analysis, landsite image analysis, geomorphology analysis, and GIS application.
5. Environmental Geology and Area Planning Laboratory: Environmental geology study, environmental impact analysis, area planning study, hydrogeology study, geo hydrology study, and GIS application.
6. Geology Techniques Laboratory: Slope stability analysis, rock mechanics analysis, geology techniques study, and geotechnical study for civilians or mining and area development.
7. Paleontology Laboratory: paleontology analysis: foraminifera, nanno plankton, pollen and spore. Paleo environment interpretation.
8. Petrology and mineralogy Laboratory: petrography analysis (frozen, sediments, and metaphoric stones) and mineral exploration also ore minerals analysis.
9. Sediment logy & Kuater Geology Laboratory: Cavity, facies, sedimentography, granulometry, and sedimentation (silici)-clastik analysis, carbonate sedimentation study, reservoir characterization, petroleum system evaluation, paleomagnetism study, and quater geology study.
10. Stratigraphy Laboratory: lito-stratigraph analysis, seismik-stratigraph analysis, sequen-stratigraph analysis, volcano-stratigraph analysis, bio-stratigraph analysis, cavity analysis, geo-history analysis (back stripping method).
