One of the ways to synergize faculty activities especially in student affairs, students form activity mediums in form:
• Student Executive Board (BEM FTG)
• Student Representatives Board (BPM)
• Geology Students Association (HMG)
• Students Activity Unit (UKM)
• Mosque Family Council (DKM)
Each of the student organizations work based on regulations, constitution and bylaws made by each institutions.
1. Student Executive Board
Unpad Faculty of Technique of Geology BEM (former Geology Students Association) has been established for 40 years. The association was formed to accommodate student creativity and as medium for exchanging ideas, experience, and sciences, also to sharpen ability through courses, field visits, geology tourism excursion and seminar. Currently BEM FTG have around 400 active members with an average 100 new members each year. Their work programs and activities are not only related to geology but also social activities, help and spirituality. BEM FTG also cooperates with student association from other universities whether in Indonesia or abroad.
2. Student Chapter of AAPG
Student Chapter of AAPG (American Association of Petroleum Geologist) was formed in 1999 to accommodate students who are interested in oiling geology. Since its establishment, there are many activities conducted like courses, seminar, general studium, and field visits with instructors from various institutions.
3. Student Chapter of SEG
SEG (Society of Economic Geologist) is the youngest organization in Unpad Faculty of Technique of Geology. It is also the first in Indonesia. The bond is still in formation, hopefully it will be approved by SEG Executive Committee soon. In its early formation, many are interested to join to conduct mineral stock researches and learn its application.
4. Gema (Geological Moslem Association)
Besides active in various geology activities, students in Unpad Faculty of Technique of Geology are also active in spiritual activities. One of the medium for that is Geological Moslem Association. The bond has done various activities like training, mentoring, bulletin publishing, Islamic Day, workshop, etc.
