[Unpad.ac.id, 23/12/2015] Implementation of Integrated Administration Information System (SIAT) Office will start in January 2016. The socialization was held and addressed to the faculty administrator of Universitas Padjadjaran. The event took place in Oemi Abdurrahman Hall Faculty of Communication Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Wednesday (23/12).

During the event, Director of Governance and Public Communication Padjadjaran University, Dr. Soni A. Nulhaqim explained that the implementation of SIAT Office is one of Universitas Padjadjaran efforts to reach efficiency in administrative management of correspondence.

“With the implementation of SIAT Office, there are three forms of efficiency we are getting: funds, material, and communication efficiency,” he said before the Bureau Chiefs, Bureau Expert Staffs, Section Heads, Subsection Heads, and staffs of Directorate Governance and Public Communication Unpad.

Since the application of SIAT Office will begin in early January 2016, Dr. Soni also advised the Section Heads, Subsection Heads in Unpad to ensure emails usage using @ unpad.ac.id domain as part of supporting SIAT Office application implementation in each work unit.

As the Vice Rector for Planning, Finance and Information Systems official letter for every work unit in Unpad, the usage of email address not from @ unpad.ac.id domain for official purposes is not allowed anymore.

Sos., M.Si, also stated that Unpad has prepared software or hardware for each work unit. The Directorate of Technology and Information Systems has prepared software application through https://siat.unpad.ac.id/eoffice/index.php/login website.

“This is a strategic move in which we can save paper while streamlining distribution of correspondence in Unpad,” he said.

Team of Directorate of Technology and Information Systems, represented by Joseph Ismail Nurhasan ST., MT, also performed a simulation of SIAT Office usage for the audience. In his presentation, he stated that implementation of SIAT Office aimed to facilitate distribution of letters, by notifications, paperless, simplifying old letter archive, accessible anywhere and anytime, and easy-to-track position and status of the letter.

“With Office SIAT administrators can monitor the stage of sent letter or whether the handling of the letter has been completed or not,” he said.*
