[Unpad.ac.id, 6/01/2016] Rector of Universitas Padjadjaran, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, sent off participating students KKNM PPMD Integrative for January-February 2016 period off in the field of Service Center Basic Science (PPBS), Universitas Padjadjaran Campus Jatinangor on Tuesday (5/01) morning. On this departure, on Tuesday, as many as 1,652 KKNM participants are dispatched to 2 districts, Indramayu and Majalengka. On Wednesday (6/01), a total of 1,813 participants KKNM will go to Purwakarta and Subang.
In his speech during the departure ceremony, Rector said that KKNM is an actual facility to implement variety of academic activities that could give impact on the community.
“Starting this year, we have implied a procedure that that KKNM is not only a part of student learning, but can improve its implications for society,” said Rector.
The KKNM key to success according to Rector could be seen through implementation of program conducted by a study program. In this case, Field Supervisor (DPL) represented the study programs. Thus, Rector also stressed the FBC should not only act as a student supervisor, but together realizing the program in the community.
Furthermore, he said that each site of KKNM is result of opotunity/issue analysis that can be applied as Tridharma activity by Unpad. The participants of KKNM were also expected to see variety of opportunities/other issues based on knowledge studied at Universitas Padjadjaran.
“I’m sure you have the competence that had begun to be implemented in a variety of activities, especially in this KKNM,” said Rector.
In addition to implementing the knowledge, implementation of KKNM was also a vehicle to train the students’ concern. Without engagement, said Rector, it would be difficult to create impact to the community.
“This is the attitude that must be constructed earnestly,” said Rector.
Majalengka
For Majalengka District, students KKNM Unpad were welcomed by Majalengka Regent, H. Sutrisno, SE., MSi., in Hall District. Majalengka, accompanied by students grouo DPL and the Head of Academic Administration, Drs. Sudarma, MM.
Accompanied by officials of SKPD and Head of all four locations of KKNM, Sutrisno looked forward to Unpad students to contribute for the development of Majalengka. In addition to contributing based on their knowledge, students were also expected to find variety of new things that are useful for the improvement of knowledge.
Currently Majalengka required significant contributions from the various parties. As the area soon to be hosted International Airport along with the planned development of the eastern part of West Java development center, a variety of challenges and problems could serve as space for the development of students knowledge. *
