[Unpad.ac.id, 14/04/2016] Planning Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) nowadays must be done by all work units in Unpad. The purpose of SOP development are to maintain performance consistency of employees and teams and to know performance targets to be achieved in a work unit.
“If a unit and its head does not prepare SOP, it would not have an annual work target. Once you do not have target then automatically you would not have work budget, “said Asep Sutiadi, S. Sos., M.Sc., Expert Staff of Unpad Academic Administration Bureau during his explanation for SOP development at the Technical Assistance of SOP for Central Office in Unpad Training Center Building, Jalan Ir. H. Juanda No. 4, Bandung, Thursday (14/04).
The TA was attended by Chiefs and Heads of Central Office Subdivision at Universitas Padjadjaran. Head of Unit Governance, Administration and Law Universitas Padjadjaran Dra. Heni Suryaningsih, M.I.Kom. said that participants of TA are currently originated from units that have not completed their SOP planning.
Meanwhile, Director of Governance and Public Communication Universitas Padjadjaran Dr. Soni A. Nulhaqim, S. Sos., M.Si., said SOP was taken based on the work that has been done by educational staff in Unpad. With the challenge of producing autonomy of State University as Legal Entities, Unpad staffs are supposedly able to produce innovation.
“The demands of this SOP is how planning the activity to ultimately lead to innovation. There will be new activities, new services, new methods, and new products, “said Dr. Soni.
With innovation, he added, university excellence will be realized. To support this SOP preparation becomes mandatory parameter that must be resolved by all units.
“In accordance with direction of Vice Rector of Governance and Resources, 10 selected SOP is to be completed, “said Dr. Soni.
Hopefully, the entire SOP per unit of work can be completed within this month. Furthermore, he revealed, the preparation of this SOP is based only on unit’s daily work.
“This SOP is not difficult but required totality from all of you in finishing it properly,” said Dr. Soni.*
