Director of Education Unpad Prof. Dr. Budi Setiabudiawan, dr., SpA (K), Kes., said that fingerprint attendance is done in preparation for Joint Preparation Stages program (TPB) for new students Academic Year 2016/2017. This machine will be installed in several classrooms throughout the lecture building Jatinangor.

“Attendance fingerprint is connected with SIAT, so it will record attendance of each student,” said Prof. Budi when met on the sidelines of the implementation of Unpad Graduation, Wednesday (03/08).

Furthermore, Prof. Budi said, because in this TPB program every class is filled by students of various study programs, the fingerprint machine is available in a single faculty to be used by all students. “So one fingerprint machine was a combination of several classes,” said Prof. Budi.

For new students who have completed SNMPTN administrative registration, Prof. Budi said they would be required to register at fingerprint machine. The registration process will be carried out on 19 August.

Registration administration in Tuesday was intended for non Bidikmisi and Bidikmisi program students. Registration on Wednesday was for non Bidikmisi participants. This time, 338 participants registered in Bidikmisi assistance program.

New students who registered were those who have already filled out their online bio on June 30 until July 18. Then, students conducted a health check on July 19 to 29 and in the Health Unit Building Unpad, Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 46, Bandung.

In the process of administrative registration, new students are asked to bring a number of files that have been stated at the time of filling online biographical data for verification carried out by officers. New students also did a photo registration for Student Identity Card (KTM) and obtain the Student Identification Number (NPM).

In relation to administrative registration, Prof. Budi said that, if there is a problem then Unpad has provided the team on the counter case. The service desk will also help the process of transferring between study programs for new students who are indicated colorblind based on the results of medical tests in question. Removal of this study program was conducted for students who enroll in the study program, which requires no colorblind students.*
