Soon To Be Implemented, All Office Services Through Integrated Service Unit

[Unpad.ac.id, 9/08/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran is preparing information technology Service System supporting Integrated Service. This system will be used to support Integrated Service Unit service Unpad (ULT) more comprehensively.

“All the services in this office are operated through integrated system,” said the Director of Governance and Public Communication, Dr. Soni A. Nulhaqim, S.Sos., M.Si.

Dr. Soni stated that, currently, there are approximately 624 services of 11 Directorates in Unpad. All the services are incorporated into an IT-based system made by the team from the Directorate of technology and information system. The mechanism of services in the system through the ULT is divided into two categories, namely: ULT settled or resolved through the back office.

In addition front office and back office operators, ULT will also be complemented by the team of Liaison Officer (LO) as liaison with each Directorate, as well as a Duty Manager to coordinate the performance at ULT. Acting as the Duty Manager is the head of the Subsections are served on a daily basis.

In its development, Dr. Soni expressed that the preparation of the comprehensive integrated services has already entered the stage of training in the utilization of the system. The first stage was intended for front office personnel unit of integrated services. The second stage was intended for the heads of the Section, and the third stage was for the LO. At the time of becoming speaker in training Integrated Service application utilization in Bale Rucita Unpad Jatinangor Campus, Monday (08/08), head of the Department of administration and information systems Technology Unpad Arif Firmansyah, s. Si., M.T., says, this integrated system linking various media provided a service center in order to provide services to users. The users of this service is the stakeholders of Unpad consisting of non-service users of information technology and IT users.

“Non-IT users include students, lecturers/staff, and the genral public. IT users include system service users, data services, and network/infrastructure services, ” said Arif.

Further Arif said that this system includes two services, namely front end and back end. Front end service is a web-based integrated service system that can be accessed by the public. This system will be placed on the page http://support.unpad.ac.id. While the back end system is accessible only to the Integrated Service Unit operators.

There are four facilities provided on the front end service, namely: news, containing information on the latest policy and services in Unpad accessible to both to the general public and internal services operator; knowledge base, in the form of modules that contain documents about information on services at ULT. This facility also includes the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of ULT service.

Th next facility is ticketing system, which records complaints, questions, and service requests from users. This facility integrates some of the questions submitted to Unpad’s media service promotion, ranging from social media, email, call center, and front desk service at ULT. Last but not least is web support facility, which is a information provider service easily and regularly sought by users.

In addition, the system is also integrated with Unpad Mobile application newly launched on Friday (05/08). As reported earlier, the application is installed on smartphones for easy access to information about Unpad.

In its application, the system will be supported by various devices supporting the technology so that these services will be able to process more efficiently and effectively, including digital signagedisplay/television containing important information, queue system, mobile system integration, desktop PC for operators, and ssatisfy level system.
