After Registration, Multicampus Unpad Pangandaran Students Ready to Occupy Dormitory

[Unpad.ac.id, 18/08/2016] A total of 166 new students of Multicampus Unpad Pangandaran Program conducted administrative registration. Registration is done on temporary campus for Multicampus Program Unpad in Cikembulan Pangandaran Village, Subdistrict Sidamulih, Pangandaran Regency, Thursday (18/08).

Program Manager of Pangandaran Multicampus, Dr. Bambang Herman, M.Sc., said that registration mechanism held in Pangandaran is similar with Unpad new student registration process in general. Students are to register by bringing a number of requirements. After the files are verified by the registration requirement, new students then take a photo to get a Student Identity Card. Then, they will also get alma mater jacket, tie, as well as dormitories and schedule information procession Admissions (PMB).

Related dormitory, Dr. Bambang said that all new students Multicampus program would be directly placed in the hostel for one year. The placement process to the hostel itself is performed immediately after completion of registration. The location of the hostel for students and lecturers located in Hotel Sinar Rahayu 4 in the area of the West Coast Pangandaran.

“After completing registration, students are to occupy the dormitory. Later, on 22 and August 23, our students would be participating in the procession on the campus Jatinangor PMB. The entire new student of Multicampus Pangandaraan program accommodation during PMB in Jatinangor campus will be facilitated by Unpad, “said Dr. Bambang.

Further, Dr. Bambang said that after attending PMB procession in Jatinangor campus, new students would participated in the boarding Life Coaching Program. The program running from August 24 to 26 will provide emphasis in relation to student guidance. The program aims to make students able to live a life of boarding with both at once to prepare for the learning process.

“We designed the activities as recreational. The speakers are lecturers who joined the program Multicampus, and in particular we invite officials from the main campus student organizations, “said Dr. Bambang.

The learning process itself will start to take place on 29 August. Dr. Bambang said students also participated in the Joint Preparatory Stages (TPB) or Happiness Integrity Transition Study (HITS), specifically for by students of academic year 2016/2017. As reported previously, the program will run for two semesters, or one year of college.

“For a year HITS program, they will be placed in a dormitory. Once completed, they will seek lodgings in the community. This means that the local economy will also increase, “he said.

Dr. Bambang said that, in addition to the lecture on campus, students could also do lectures at the hostel as well as various regions around Pangandaran.

Unpad along with Pangandaran West Java provincial government and local government are preparing a campus location that is more representative. Today, the building site plan campus is located in the village of Cintaratu, District Parigi, Kab. Pangandaran. Hopefully, with this new building, Unpad can organize the multicampus program’s first graduation procession independently in Pangandaran. In addition, the number of courses offered will increase.

“Currently, Unpad is preparing a detailed engineering design (DED) it. If the DED was already ready, it will already be constructed, “said Dr. Bambang.

In addition to carrying out the registration, at the same location Open House was also held between representatives of the leadership and faculty Unpad with the parents of new students. Implementation of the Open House on Thursday (18/08) with parents of new students of the department of Communication Science, Business Administration, and Nursing. As for the two other study programs, Animal Husbandary and Fisheries, their Open House will be held on Friday (19/08). *
