Socialization for Performance Research and Community Engagement Reports

[Unpad.ac.id, 23/12/2016] Directorate for Research, Community Service and Innovation (DRPMI) Universitas Padjadjaran encouraged faculty, research centers, and centers of excellence to submit reports on the performance of research and community service. This report will be the Kemenristekdikti assessment of performance-related conducted research and dedication to the college.

Director of Research, Community Service and Innovation Padjadjaran, Rizky Abdullah, PhD, Apt., said that in 2014 Unpad ranked second as in independent universities group with the best research performance. However, the following year’s ratings had dropped because many research activities are never reported.

“This reporting will be assessed useful. It is expected to be filled as optimally as possible,” said Rizky when Socialization of Performance Research and Community Engagement Reports in Bale Rumawat Unpad, Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 35, Bandung, Friday (23/12).

The socialization was attended by leaders and managers at the faculty level. Also present were Vice Rector for Research, Community Engagement, Cooperation, and Corporate Academic Universitas Padjadjaran, Dr. Keri Lestari, M.Sc., Apt., as well as Director and Corporate Academic Cooperation, Dr. Dwi Purnomo, M.T.

Rizky said that Unpad performance is excellent in terms of research performance in Indonesia. Moreover, the Unpad position has now entered the college cluster independently. However, often differences of opinion at the time of reporting level research with university faculty.

Through this socialization Rizky expected an adjustment in perceptions between the directorate with a faculty or a center of excellence. This is so that the charging performance of research and dedication this period will run optimally.

Furthermore Rizky said that for this period reports, performance reporting increases in community services sector, where previously only in the research sector alone. These rates from the two sectors would have an impact on the amount of research funding decentralization and community service funds to be received by Unpad.

The performance assessment study carried out every three years based on level indicators that have been set by Kemenristekdikti. The indicators include the availability of human resources, the number of foreign researchers, support staff, unit supporting facilities, grants of Ditlitabmas, grant non-Ditlitabmas, organization of scientific forums, the number of journal publication, number of textbook/text, speaker scientific forum, the number of Property Rights International, the data another outcome of the study, the data contract of employment, as well as data on research business unit.

Meanwhile the performance assessment of new community services proposed in this period. This assessment is intended for universities under the auspices of Kemenristekdikti by four clusters, namely superior, highly satisfactory, satisfactory, or unsatisfactory.

“We will push Unpad to be included into the cluster of excellence,” said Rizki.

Research performance reporting schedule was open from December 2016 until no specified time limit. In that sense at any time Kemenristekdikti can close performance reporting. Meanwhile performance reporting schedule community engagement is opened in December 2016 until the end of January 2017. The announcement of the performance ranking of research and dedication will be announced on August 17, 2017.

Dr. Keri expected all parties concerned to work together to provide a report. “Essentially, we decide where we want to be ourselves,” said Dr. Keri.

In the same occasion, Dr. Dwi was also socializing on the structure of employment in the Directorate of Cooperation and Academic Corporation. *
