[unpad.ac.id, 1/28/2019] Rector of Unpad Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the President of Mokpo National University, South Korea Prof. Park Min Seo at the Executive Lounge, Jatinangor campus, Unpad Rectorate Building, Monday (1/28).

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was also signed by the Vice Rector for Research, Community Engagement, Cooperation, and Academic Corporations Dr. Keri Lestari, S.Si., M.Sc., Apt. with the President of Mokpo National University Prof. Park Min Seo.
In his remarks the Rector said, in the midst of the complexity of the current global challenges, collaboration is a must. It is difficult to survive every challenge without collaboration.
“We hope we can collaborate which will bring a global impact, and of course it will bring great benefits to the community,” the Rector hoped.
It is expected that Unpad collaboration with Mokpo National University will be developed in various ways. The activities that will be carried out include optimizing natural resources, especially the sea, to improve human welfare. In addition, the introduction of cultural values is also needed.
“Thus, this collaboration is not only beneficial for both universities, the two countries, but also will bring good to humans throughout the world,” said the Rector.
The Rector also said that having a cooperative relationship with Unpad does not mean that collaboration will only be established with Unpad. Collaboration will also be open with various Unpad stakeholders, especially in West Java.
“At present cooperation is not only needed between universities, but also involves various parties. We call it the pentahelix collaboration, collaboration that involves academics, business, government, society, and the media,” said the Rector. *
