A total of 74 Students Participated in the MIPA National Olympic Selection at University Level

[unpad.ac.id, 2/28/2019] The Directorate of Education and Student Affairs of Unpad held a selection of university-level MIPA (Math and Science) National Olympic Games at the Unpad Basic Science Service Center (PPBS) Hall, Jatinangor, Tuesday (2/26).

National Olympic (ON) MIPA is a national science olympic held annually by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. The competition was held to foster and develop the scientific fields of mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology.

Head of Unpad ON MIPA Selection Committee Dr. M. Nurzaman explained, as many as 74 students from various faculties participated in the university level ON MIPA selection. Selection was held to capture the seven best students for each field of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

“(In total) 28 students will be sent to represent Unpad to participate in the selection of ON MIPA levels in the fields of Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics,” Dr. Nurzaman in the release received by the Unpad Public Communication Office.

Selected students will take part in the regional ON MIPA selection on March 26-27. Selection will be held simultaneously in 14 work areas of Higher Education Service Institutions.

Delegates per region sent to the national level consisted of the first place winner at the ON MIPA stage selection at the regional level, the best participants from the group of private universities, and the highest-achieving students. The delegation will attend ON MIPA PT at the national level on April 26-30. *
