[Unpad Media Channel] The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology’s (Kemendikbudristek) Indonesian Talent Development Center has published the list of Student Creativity Program (PKM) teams who have qualified for the 36th National Student Scientific Week otherwise known as Pimnas. As much as 525 PKM teams from 107 higher education institutions was announced as having qualified for the 36th Pimnas.
The 525 teams from eight PKM disciplines will compete at Universitas Padjadjaran, the host of the 36th Pimnas, on November 26th – December 1st. According to the Director of Student Affairs and Alumni Relations, Dr. Eng. Boy Yoseph Cahya Sunan Sakti Syah Alam, who also leads the 36th Pimnas officials, Unpad is ready to be the host of the yearly student scientific week.
Pimnas competitions, specifically the presentation competitions, will utilize 25 rooms at a number of faculty buildings in the Jatinangor campus. Every room will have a capacity of around 120 people. At the moment, supporting facilities for the competition in every room and building have been prepared by the team of officials.
“Right now, 70 to 80 percent of the rooms are ready,” Boy said.
The prepared facilities include CCTV cameras in every presentation room, internet connection, and other supporting facilities such as restrooms and designated places for prayer. Boy ensures that every room at the Unpad campus will be ready to use by participants or by the team officials of each university.
“We will prepare so that our colleagues are comfortable when they are in Unpad’s campus,” he continued.
Alongside Pimnas competitions, this event will also be filled by various non-Pimnas competitions and activities such as a bazaar, public lecture, technology fair, and panels from university leaders. For that, Unpad will maximize its preparations in relation to the national event.
Boy also welcomes the Pimnas participants who will visit Unpad’s campus on November 25th. “I’ll see you in Unpad. God willing, we will serve and facilitate our dear friends. Although we will only meet for less than a week, hopefully, it can become a pleasant memory. We will give our best.” Boy concluded.
