The Faculty of Agroindustrial Technology (Indonesian: Fakultas Teknik Industri Pertanian, abbreviated as FTIP) of Universitas Padjadjaran originated from the Department of Agricultural Technology (Teknologi Pertanian, abbreviated as Teknotan), a study program in the Faculty of Agriculture that was established in 1983. In 2005, it is then upgraded into this very faculty.

True to its name, the faculty was established to facilitate studies and development in agroindustrial technology. This institution’s footing is firm thanks to its contribution to fulfilling the demands of undergraduate students wishing to engage not only in agroindustrial technology, but also the F&B industry and agriculture in general.

On August 1st, 2009, FTIP Unpad became the first Universitas Padjadjaran faculty to receive the ISO 9001:2008 certification in Education Services.
