The Faculty of Dentistry Universitas Padjadjaran (Indonesian: Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi, abbreviated as FKG) was established in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 85633/S on September 1st, 1959. The faculty was formed by the FKG Unpad’s Establishment Committee consisting of Prof. Dr. R. Moestopo, Prof. Soeria Soemantri, MPH., R. Soeradiradja, dr. Chasan Boesoiri, and Prof. Dr. Naubaeuer.

Since 2003, the faculty has been opening international classes with most students coming from Malaysia. The international classes encourage students’ active learning using a problem-based method. Aside from its function as a teaching hospital, this hospital also provides general and specialist dental services. It has 240 dental units, 8 inpatient beds, and various services in 19 installations.
