Faculty of Nursing was initially a part of Nursing Study Program in Faculty of Medicine. On 8 June 2005, it was legalized as Faculty of Nursing Science with the Rector’s decree No.1020/J06/Kep/KP/2005 and approval by Dikti No. 1827/D/T/2005 on 1 June 2005. In 2013, the faculty changed its name into Faculty of Nursing in accordance with Permendikbud No. 40 Year 2013 on Organization and Working Procedures of Padjadjaran University.
Faculty of Nursing offers one study program for each degree, namely Undergraduate Nursing Program for Bachelor degree, Nurse Program in profession level, and Graduate Nursing Program for Master degree. Length of study for high school graduates is minimally 8 semesters and maximally 14 semesters with study load of 144 credits and 36 credits for Professional Program. Meanwhile for Diploma III graduates, the study period is 3 – 5 semesters with study load depending on placement tests.
As the second oldest Nursing School in Indonesia, the faculty is required to produce high quality human resources in the field. Its education system and curriculum employ Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK), with the learning models of Group Discussion, Problem Based Learning, Project Based Learning, and Discovery Learning.
