[Unpad.ac.id, 12/12/2012] A warm atmosphere filled in with togetherness could be seen in the eyes of Unpad retired faculties and alumni of economic faculty. They reconvened in a gathering for Retired Faculty Association (IKAPEN) and the alumni of economic faculty on Wednesday (12/12) in Jatinangor.

“I fell much honored for being able to finally meet you here, in this lively gathering. Thank you so much for coming back to our university,” said the rector when welcoming the retired faculties of unpad and alumni in Bale Sawala, Rectorate Building in Jatinangor.
On the same occasion, the rector explained that Unpad has gone through many development programs starting from the university’s beginning. His explanation was accompanied by visual presentation which successfully brought back the audience to the reminiscence of their past memories.
The rector admitted that Unpad has now grown so strong due to great contribution that the former faculties and alumni had made. “You are our inspiration for continuously developing this university,” he added.
Nugraha Besoes, an alumnus from the faculty of economics class of 1959, expressed his amazement for the progress that Unpad had made. Unpad is even now considered as one of favorite campuses in Indonesia.
“I am so touched. Unpad used to be like door-to-door vendor, getting people to actually buy his stuff and get in here. But now, this campus has become really great,” said he. He also suggested that Unpad campus in Dipati Ukur be made as heritage for it has created excellent histories and scored many achievements.
After the presentation, the alumni and the retired faculties were brought on a tour to actually see and recall the campus they used to work and study.
