[Unpad.ac.id, 13/05/2013] Service health professionals provide should not only meet the standard quality but also aim at patient satisfaction. Accordingly, nursing faculty graduates have to go further than scoring perfect IPK. Maintaining good emotional skills and constantly developing knowledge are much more important.

The statement in the above is in accordance with what the Dean of Nursing Faculty Unpad, who is also the head of National Nurse Association, said prior to nurse oath taking ceremony at the Unpad Function Room Building 2 in Dipati Ukur Bandung on Mei 10, 2013.
In the ceremony as many as 11 nursing graduates, 41 nurses, and 4 magister program graduates took their oath after walking at the commencement ceremony two days earlier.
“A nurse should have positive attitude that covers honesty, modesty, and respect. They should also be willing to listen and give counseling to patients in addition to standing for them and caring for them,” said he. Moreover, nurses have to be able to build networks with other health professionals, such as doctors, pharmacists, and nutritionists. “Good network enables us to keep improving our self-competence and gaining various benefits,” Lukman concluded.
