[Unpad.ac.id, 15/07/2013] Unpad rector, Prof. Ganjar Kurnia inaugurated the new deans of Faculty of Nursing (FIK) and Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) on Monday (15/07) in the executive lounge Unpad rectorate building in Jatinangor. Present in the event were vice rectors, deans, faculties, and members of Unpad women’s association.
The newly appointed deans were Kusman Ibrahim, replacing Mamat Lukman and Iskandar, replacing Ayi Yusiati. The inauguration was pursuant to the rector’s decree on promotion and dismissal of deans of FIK and FPIK No. 2875 – 2878/UN6.RKT/KP/2013.
In his speech the rector expressed his gratitude to the former deans for their excellent performance during their office time. “Mamat Lukman and Ayi Yusiati have contributed greatly to development of Unpad. And hopefully, their traces can be followed by the newly appointed deans,” said he.
The rector has high hope that the dean of FPIK, in particular, can lead the faculty to concentrate on reservoir and dams. “In relation to them, we find issues on production and population. Hopefully, they can be integrated parts of the FPIK’s community service,” he added.
As for the dean of FIK, the rector wants nursing faculty to be more active in overcoming health issues that the people of West Java province are facing, in addition to creating competitive and excellent graduates.
