[Unpad.ac.id, 15/12/2015] The Dean Candidates for Faculty of Arts (FIB) held their program socialization session today in Japanese Learning Center (PSBJ) Hall Faculty of Arts, Universitas Padjadjaran, Tuesday (15/12). This program socialization session was held as part of the series of selection for FIB Dean positions in Unpad, for the period of 2016-2021. The FIB Dean candidates are Dr. phil. N. Rinaju Purnomowulan, Yuyu Yohana Risagarniwa, M.Ed.,Ph.D., Dr. Abu Sufyan, M.Hum., Dr. Reiza D Dienaputra, M.Hum., Dr. Eva Tuckyta Sari Sujatna, and Dr. Titin Nurhayati Ma’mun, M.S.
In his program, Dr. Reiza proposed for Faculty of Arts to possess regional competitiveness by 2021. He had seven featured programs, including improvement of accreditation quality, increasing faculty publications, increasing the number of professors, institutionalizing (for internal purposes) and internationalizing (for external purposes) Sundanese culture, improving students quality, improving welfare of faculty and staff, as well as improving facilities and infrastructure quality.
Meanwhile, in program presented by Dr. Abu Sufyan, his important issues and strategic steps were to optimize the utilization of alumni, educators, and staff, improve quality of teachers and education personnel, improve experience of educators, with sufficient budget, cooperation expansion and strengthening as well as increased welfare.
Another FIB Dean candidate, Dr. Yuyu stated that he aimed for Faculty of Arts to be a cultural center of regional standards. His program featured development of course towards regional accreditation, research development and advanced and integrated PKM, as well as strengthening of Sundanese culture as a hallmark of FIB into a cultural center, through advanced teaching, quality research, and integrated cooperation.
Dr. Eva in her explanation stated that Faculty of Arts is expected to be regionally competitive faculty. She proposed the program “CARE”, which is concerned about caring the faculty, the university, and the community. CARE program was also detailed as Culture, Accreditation, Research, and Education.
Dr. Rinaju Purnomowulan delivered a number of strategies as Dean Candidates for Faculty of Arts. Her innovative strategies are transforming knowledge as benchmark and supporting aspects within international competition, educating HR and effective systems of knowledge becomes main capital to benefit from globalization. Institution must stay connected with scientific network, invest in institution and capacity building, and improve inter-agency cooperation network.
Lastly, Dr. Titin proposed to set Faculty of Arts Unpad as global barometer of local cultural information. Her strategic programs were independent and professional resource management knowledge. She also expected that results of FIB research should run downstream and be recognized by the world.
