[Unpad.ac.id, 10/12/2015] Universitas Padjadjaran, Financial Service Authority (OJK), and PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia held a financial literacy educational program for students. This program was expected to improve students’ knowledge on financial services.

Director of Cooperation Sama Universitas Padjadjaran, Parikesit, MSc., PhD. delivered the point Bale Santika Unpad Jatinangor, Thursday (10/12). “This program is initiated by Unpad and OJK, supported by the Unpad alumni association and private sector, in this case, Tokio Marine. We expect that students would become financial literate,” said he.
Meanwhile, Head of Bandung Branch of PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia, Eko Sulistyo, stated that this financial literacy program would discuss how to manage finance, maintain assets, prevent risks, and other financial-service-related issues. Also present in this event was a well-known established motivator, Merry Riana speaking at the motivational seminar.
“This is the first time we initiate a cooperation with Unpad. But this seminar is just the beginning, as we plan to develop this project into internship program, scholarship, recruitment, and others,’ said Sulistyo.
After the seminar, Unpad and PT Asuransi Tokio Marine Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding that included educational, research, and community service programs. *
