[Unpad.ac.id, 16/12/2015] Universitas Padjadjaran ranked third in Public Agency Disclosure ranking in 2015 by Indonesia Central Information Commission, in State University Category. The conferment was given by President, Joko Widodo, and accepted by the Rector, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (15/12).

“This is an appreciation for all of us. This award comes from not current activities only but a long-term work. This award will fuel Unpad to maintain its management, especially now that we are in a legal entity of PTN, “said Rector.
Furthermore, he said that law had ordered public disclosure, but for Unpad, public disclosure was considered not only as obligation but also as necessity as one form of accountability.
In his speech, President Joko Widodo stated that we are living in an era where people demand transparency. With public disclosure, people would sense connection and responsiveness.
“Congratulations on the award. Let us work together create public disclosure,” the president said.
On the occasion, Chairman of the Central Information Commission Abdulhamid Dipopramono announced the Top 10 of Public State University Categories . The first place was achieved by UB. On the second place was Universitas Gadjah Mada, hwhile the third is Universitas Padjadjaran. Universitas Indonesia achieved fourth’s position.. The fourth state universities scored above 60. Six other state universities scored below 50, i.e. Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Universitas Jambi, Universitas Lambungmangkurat, Universitas Bengkulu, and Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati.
In addition to the category of Universities, Central Information Commission has also announced Public Disclosure ranking for the category of Public Agency of the Ministry, State Institutions, non-structural institution, provincial governments, SOEs, and political parties. *
