Learning Entrepreneurship Activity, Student of UKM Visited Unpad

[Unpad.ac.id, 20/01/2016] A total of 10 students of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and 2 supervisor companions visited Universitas Padjadjaran to learn about entrepreneurial activities undertaken in Unpad. The visit was welcomed on campus of the Faculty of Agricultural Industrial Technology (FTIP) Unpad, Wednesday (20/01).

“This group consists of students joined in Club Keusahawanan College Dato Onn or Kusdo from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. They are students of various majors who share interest in field of entrepreneurship, “said Supervisor Companion of Kusdo UKM, Akhyar Rido.

Ridho also stated that with this visit, they expected Unpad to share experiences on various entrepreneurial activities in Unpad. Students UKM are also currently starting a business tourism business in Malaysia.

“We are hoping for students or faculty in Unpad who are engaged or active in field of entrepreneurship to share stories,” Rido said.

Rido invited Unpad students to visit UKM and for them to help facilitating UKM. In the future, it is expected that the cooperation between UKM and Unpad can flourish.

“In the future we expect a form of cooperation, at the very least to visit each other, especially for soft skill aspects of students, international communications, as well the entrepreneurship, ” said Rido.

In line with Ridho, Special Staff of International Office of Universitas Padjadjaran, Kasno Pamungkas, M.Hum expected that development of cooperation between Unpad and UMK, particularly in the field of student affairs.

“Although this was a short visit, hopefully in the future we could followed up this visit with concrete action, be it international workfield or course credit earning,” said Kasno.

During the events, Professor and Vice Dean for Planning, Information Systems, Governance, and Resource FTIP Universitas Padjadjaran, Dr. Dwi Purnomo explained the process Sociotechnopreneurship at Universitas Padjadjaran. He said that the most important thing is to build an entrepreneurial spirit within the students themselves.

“It doesn’t mean that we should always have a business. The most important thing is entrepreneurial spirit that should exist within the students,” said Dr. Dwi.

Duringt he event, a number of young entrepreneurs from students and alumni Unpad also helped present their products and business activities. The event was followed by a discussion and a visit to the production house that has fostered Unpad entrepreneurship.

The event was also attended by Head of International Office of Universitas Padjadjaran, Rizky Abdullah, PhD., Apt. and Head of Sub Division of Administration of International Cooperation and International Office, Ofiar Murwanti, S.Pd and his staff.

“Hopefully with this short meeting, we do not only share knowledge, but also hoping for greater collaboration between the student of UKM and the student of Unpad,” said Rizky. *
