[Unpad.ac.id, 23/02/2016] Emeritus Professor of Faculty of Arts (FIB), Unviersitas Padjadjaran University Prof. Dr. H. Moch. Tadjuddin, MA., passed away in Boromeus Hospital Bandung, Tuesday (23/02) at 08:25 pm due to illness. The final tribute from the academic community of Unpad was held in Masjid Al Jihad Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 35, Bandung, on Tuesday (23/02) afternoon.

Rector Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad during the service said that Prof. Tadjuddin’s dedication to Universitas Padjadjaran was exemplary. The last academic activities he attended was the Unpad Graduation Batch II 2015-2016 on last February 2-4.
“His presence was proof of his commitment to his alma mater Unpad,” said Rector.
In academic field, Prof. Tadjuddin had consistently developing Russian Literature course in FIB UNPAD. Thus, Rector commended him for his dedication and consistency to Unpad Russian Literature.

Prof. Tadjuddin was born in Majalengka, May 4, 1934. He completed his studies as a Bachelor of Russian Literature in Universitas Padjadjaran in 1963, his Master of Art in the field of Philology at University of St. Pietersburg Russia, and Ph.D in Linguistics Graduate Program Faculty of Letters, Padjadjaran University in 1992.
He began his career as a lecturer in Universitas Padjadjaran in 1971 and had been awarded an Honorary of Satyalancana Karya Satya Level II from President of Indonesia Republic in 1989 and Charter of Karya Satya Purnabakti from Rector Unpad in 2004. As a lecturer, he taught as a lecturer at FIB Universitas Padjadjaran, Graduate Program at UI, and at the University of Leiden.
His last position was Universitas Padjadjaran Doctoral Program Coordinator for Literature in 1998 until 2005. In addition, Prof. Tadjuddin was assigned as Vice Rector of Human Resources and Finance and Dean of the Faculty of Letters, University Computer Indonesia. He was also the Chairman of the Assessor Team of National Accreditation Board for IAIN and STAIN in several regions in Indonesia in 2000.
He was the husband of the late Hj. R. Eni Rukmini. His three children are Hj. Tati Ruliyanti, SH, Dr. Poppy Rusriana, dra., M.Sc., and Rudi Rusyadi, SE.*
