With Social Entrepreneurship, Student of Faculty of Communication Unpad Became Speaker of Connext Talk in Bangkok

[Unpad.ac.id, 4/03/2016] Student of Public Relations Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fikom), Universitas Padjadjaran University, Fatma N.S. Azh-zahra was one of the speakers at Connext Talk, part of ASEAN Connext on 26-28 February 2016 and in Bangkok, Thailand. Fatma presented a social entrepreneurship project called “Motekar”, with slogan of”Advancing Innovation on Bamboo Craft”.

“Social Entrepreneurship is one area being actively developed by communities, universities, NGOs, as well as multinational companies. Social enterprise was activated in the face of the underway Asean Community, “Fatma said in a release received PR Unpad.

Connext Talk this year hold the theme of “Building Strong Connection of ASEAN Youth Leaders for Creative Social Projects”. “Connext Talk was a forum for ASEAN youth and professionals as well as academics from ASEAN, Japan, and Europe to share knowledge and experience concerning social entrepreneurship,” said Fatma.

IMG_20160302_185943The first day event was opening session and presentations of social entrepreneurial projects by a number of ASEAN youth. Besides Fatma, speakers of social entrepreneurs from U drink I drive , Buku Kami, and (Volun)tourism made a presentation and elaboration ASEAN Awareness Among Young Generation and Solutions of Chulalongkorn University.

On the second day, the session starts with brainstorming on Social Entrepreneurship Case Studies, followed by joint seminar session keynote of speaker Thomas Diefenbach on holistic school. In addition, talk show featuring founder of Roong Aroon School in Thailand and the founder of School for Life in Chiang Mai.

After the first and second day, amazing race session was held in the corners of Bangkok. This amazing race wanted to introduce culture, history, tourism, and transportation in the city of Bangkok.*
