[Unpad.ac.id, 14/03/2016] Alumni Association of Literature and Arts (Ika Sadaya) Universitas Padjadjaran Faculty of Arts took the initiative to help flood victims at various districts in Bandung. The fundraising is expected to help people in the area worst affected by the floods, in Subdistrict of Banjaran, Baleendah, Bojongsoang, and Dayeuhkolot.
In a release received by Unpad PR, the flood in the region was recorded as the worst in the last 10 years. In some villages, water level reaches 2 meters or more. This flood had affected 35,000 houses, 50,000 people affected by flooding, and 10,000 people were taking refuge at some point, and causing casualties.
Some areas have not received aid including Komplek Damar Mas, Kampung Kamasan, Tarajusari, and Kiangroke in Banjaran Subdistrict; also Ciputat Rancamanyar village in Baleendah Subdistrict.
Currently the flood affected people are in dire need of basic food, water, and outerwear, blankets, sanitary napkins, and others.
Therefore Ika Sadaya board invites academic community and Unpad alumni to participate and make a donation, either in the form of goods or money. Donations can be made at the points:
