Dean of FK Unpad: Regional Government Is Not Involved in FK Students Selection Result

[Unpad.ac.id, 20/04/2016] Starting in academic year 2016/2017, Universitas Padjadjaran will waive education cost at the Faculty of Medicine for medical studies program participants and specialists, with after graduation requirements to become a doctor or a specialist serving primarily in West Java area in collaboration with Unpad.

In relation with this program and to respond public questions about the role of local government in this program, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Yoni Fuadah Syukriyani, dr., Sp.F., M.Si., DFM, asserted that admission process would be based SNMPTN and SBMPTN for Medical Studies Program and Admission Selection of Padjadjaran University (SMUP) for Physician Education Program Specialist I (PPDS I).

“Therefore admission process is using academic criteria, health condition, and willingness to serve. The local government is not involved in determining admissions. Local government is involved in cooperating with possibility of later assignment after graduation, “said Dean of FK Unpad.

This statement is in relation with Rector Regulation No 8 Year 2016 regarding Education Cost Waiver for Students of Medicine, of Medical Studies, and Physician Education Program Specialist I in Faculty of Medicine Unpad.

Dean of FK Unpad reminded all prospective students or their families to be cautious and not trusting those who promise and guarantee admission in Faculty of Medicine without participating in formal acceptance process above.*
