[Unpad.ac.id, 17/04/2016] Based on Council Meeting IX Alumni Association Universitas Padjadjaran (Ika Unpad) held Sunday (17/04), the committee decided for the election of Chairman of Ika Unpad 2016-2020 to be discussed between three candidates for chairman.
Budi Cahyana, the head of committee for Council Meeting and Grand Reunion, stated the above after the Meeting in Hall of Basic Science Center Service (PPBS) Unpad Jatinangor, Sunday (17/04). According to Budi, the result of the Chairman Ika Unpad is delayed for a week due to several ballots have not been counted by the committee.
“The Meeting has given mandates to the candidates to come up with a decision. It is expected to be finished within the week, ” said Budi.
Previously, the voting was conducted by Unpad alumni in Bale Santika Unpad, Jatinangor, Sunday (17/04) until 12.00 WIB. The voters were Unpad alumni from every faculty who have done registration.
At the vote count on Sunday afternoon, Hikmat Kurnia received 546 votes, Ahmad Doli Kurnia 455 votes, and Yuddy Chrisnandi 530 votes. Total voters in the List of Voters were 1541 persons.
From total 1542 counted votes, the committee still have not counted 59 votes left. In response to the difference, the chairman of Council Meeting IX Ika Unpad, Drs. Eka Santosa, decided to revoke the temporary result. All leaders of Ika Unpad, including chairman, organizing committee, Faculty and regional commissariats is holding internal meeting to settle the disparity.
“We admit that the enthusiasm of alumni is overwhelming the organizing committee capacity,” said Budi Cahyana, alumni of Statistika FMIPA Unpad.
Budi hoped that the three candidates could settle the issue. “Hopefully the best will win. The three of them are all the best candidates. Hopefully the chosen one is the best,” said Budi.*
