“Let’s cut all the for no apparent reason convoluted and prolonged service process. Let’s create more transparent process. Let’s provide timely service as promised,” said Rudiantara, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Unviersitas Padjadjaran.

On that occasion, Rudiantara also recalled the importance of reaffirming Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) commitment to the continuing threatening challenges. NKRI is a democratic state based on Pancasila ideology, upholding religious values and customs in the community.

“After a long stand as a nation, threats and challenges to NKRI wholeness do not recede a single step. Even with advances in digital technology, the threat of radicalism and terrorism, for example, get a new medium for the dissemination and practice, “said Rudiantara.

In addition, continued Rudiantara, Indonesia is also facing resilient nations cultural problems. The emergence of violence and pornography, especially those occured in the very young generation, is one of several major cultural problems of this nation that recently surfaced. Again, the new medium of digital technology plays an important role in information dissemination, both positive and negative, quickly and massively.

“New challenges that arise in front of us possess two most important dimensions of speed and coverage. Of course we could not be slow because of delays due to the speed and spread of the elements threat out of lack of knowledge of how to behave in the context of a changing world, “he said.

Rudiantara also said that one of the inspirations that we can follow was from the founding of Boedi Utomo in 1908, as the momentum of a national awakening which we commemorate each year, is the emergence of Indonesian human resources who are educated, possessing sense of nationalism, and having ideals for escape from colonialism. “With the emergence of superior human resources comes a spirit of national revival,” he said.*
