[Unpad.ac.id, 30/05/2016] Center for Counseling and Human Resource Development of Agriculture (BPPSDMP) Ministry of Agriculture Indonesia is collaborating in human resources sector with Universitas Padjadjaran. The cooperation is implemented through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Unpad and BPPSDMP Ministry of Agriculture Unpad Indonesia at the Rector Room Rectorate Building Campus Jatinangor, Monday (30/05).
The signing was done by Rector Unpad Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad and Head of BPPSDMP Ir. Pending Dadih Permana, M.Ec.Dev. The signing was witnessed by representatives of BPPSDMP, Vice Rector of Research, Community Service, Cooperation, Innovation, and Business Unpad Dr. Keri Lestari, M.Si., Apt., Dean of Faculty of Agriculture Unpad Dr. Ir. Sudarjat, M.P., Dean of FPIK Dr. Ir. Iskandar, M.Si., and Director of Cooperation Unpad Parikesit, M.Sc., PhD.
Pending stated that the cooperation with Unpad was conducted to prepare professional HR in BPPSDMP through research assignments in Unpad. At the moment, there are 17 employees of BPPSDMP that have been studying in Master Program in Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unpad.
As an institution that supports the improvement of human resources quality in the Ministry of Agriculture, BPPSDMP is facilitating echelon officials and employees of Ministry of Agriculture to continue their studies in university. Unpad was chosen because it has courses tailored to the area in the Ministry of Agriculture.
During the event, Pending also stated a message to students of Faculty of Agriculture Unpad to continue in agriculture sector after graduating. He explained that currently many agricultural graduates do not apply their knowledge in the community.
In anticipation, the Center planned to open recruitment for prospective Unpad graduates for delving further into agricultural sector. “Hopefully we could find workers who are committed to agriculture. We will be thoroughly training them for three years and prepare them to be agripreneurs,” said Pending.
In response, Rector appreciated BPPSDMP measures to develop human resources in agriculture. That graduates have not been optimally involved in agriculture, Rector said, it would require support and cooperation of all parties.
On the same occasion, signing of self-managing partnership between BPPSDMP and Faculty of Agriculture Unpad was also conducted. The signing was done by Pending and Dean of Faculty of Agriculture Unpad.
PT Infrastructure Assurance Indonesia
Meanwhile in supporting infrastructure campus development, a state-owned company engaged in the infrastructure assurance in Indonesia PT. Infrastructure Assurance Indoesia (Persero) is cooperating with Universitas Padjadjaran. Tehe cooperation is realized through the signing of MoU between PT. PII Persero with Unpad.
The MoU signing was conducted desk to desk between Rector Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, President Director of PT PII Shintya Roesli in Rector Room Rectorate Building, Jatinangor Monday (30/05). Attended the signing were Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary of PT PII Pratomo Ismujatmika.
Pratomo said the cooperation would be done in relation to strengthening the quality of the Higher Education Tridharma in assurance aspects of infrastructure development in Unpad campus. This asscurance was done primarily for campus infrastructure development projects in cooperation with the private sector.
Cooperation of assurance infrastructure development has been done by PT PII with 20 other universities in Indonesia. In addition to providing assurance for the construction of the campus infrastructure, PT. PII also invited Unpad to be part of the cooperation network of University Networking for Indonesia Infrastructure Development (UNIID). Pratomo said that network cooperation is conducted in order to collect all the potential of higher education in terms of infrastructure development. *
