[Unpad.ac.id, 2/05/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran team as part of Expedition Bhakti Nusantara 2016 held by held Ministry of Coordination Human Development and Culture (Ministry for PMK) was already in the high seas along with a group of participants of other expeditions. The team on board in KRI 539 Banda Aceh carried a mission of improving community capacity and unity in the remote islands in Indonesia.

In the release received by Unpad PR, Unpad team was officially launched by Director of Student Affairs and Alumni Unpad Dr. Ir. Heryawan Kemal Mustafa, M.Sc., at Rectorate Building Unpad Jatinangor, Friday (29/04). Attending during the launch were Director of Research and Community Service Dr. Ayi Bahtiar, Coordinator of Center of East Indonesia Research Development Prof. Dr. Wawan Hermawan, M.S., Coordinator of Cooperation DRPM-Ministry of PMK Ir. Sondi Kuswaryan MS, and Vice Dean II FTIP Unpad Dr. Dwi Purnomo, M.T. The expedition started from Tanjung Priok Harbour Jakarta Saturday (30/04). On the high seas, Unpad team was asked to train angklung to 539 KRI Banda Aceh crew in preparation for commemoration of the Navy. Team Unpad Experts in martial arts also have also asked by Ministry of PMK to perform in the last event festival culture. Scheduled on May 6, the team would hold a ceremony on the island of Pulo Bajo West Nusa Tenggara. *
