[Unpad.ac.id, 26/06/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran worked jointly with Bank BJB in the implementation of the Strategic Alliance Universitas Padjadjaran–West Java Program (Jabar Asup). This cooperation is expected to further increase the capacity and productivity of each area in West Java.

“Unpad is located in West Java. It is a part of us, therefore we are supporting brilliant programs proposed by Tri,” said Director of Bank BJB, Ahmad Irfan in the Coordination Meeting and Gathering of Bank BJB and Universitas Padjadjaran in Four Points Hotel by Sheraton Bandung, Friday (24/06).
Unpad has appointed PIC as a Rector representative for each City/Regency in West Java. Hopefully, the PIC can coordinate with each branch of Bank BJB in West Java in developing of this potential.
“We hope that today’s meeting can be mutually useful to gather information of each other’s needs,” said Ahmad Irfan.
Meanwhile, Rector, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, said that with the potential of Unpad with BJB, it is expected that the cooperation between the two would not only be limited to the strengthening of these two institutions, but also for the good of society at large.
“Therefore if Unpad solely sees Bank BJB as bank that could facilitate Unpad course it would be a pity. Vice versa, if BJB interact with Unpad and only saw 40 thousand clients. Thus, together we must find a way to synergize both these potential together. We can achieve more if we give more to the community, “said Rector.
Rector also hoped that these potentials are not based on aspects of consumptive, but also productive. Currently, Unpad is researching the potential productivity in every area.
“We should grasp all aspects of productive opportunities. It should be our thrust,” said Rector.
The increase in productivity is not only done for each region in the 27 City/regency alone. It is expected that each City/regency can synergize with one another to increase the potential in each region and the whole of West Java. According to Rector, each region could progress more productively if they can work together across regions.
“If the capacity of the people of Indonesia, especially in West Java and the rurals, is already strong, we should have advanced more quickly than this,” said Rector.*
