SPM Unpad Held Workshop of System Based University Quality Management

[Unpad.ac.id, 28/09/2016] The Regulation of Minister of Higher Education No. 44 Year 2015 on National Standards for Higher Education, the organization of courses in universities have at least a minimum standard of 24. Overall minimum standard is divided into three components, namely the national education standards, national standards of research, and national standards community service.

“Study program must hold its own standard, according to the ability of study programs, adapted to the style of study programs,” said Head of Information and Support Systems Quality Assurance Office of University of Gadjah Mada, Ir. Paulus Insap Santosa, PhD, while giving a presentation at the Workshop on Higher Education-Based Quality Management System, held by Quality Assurance Unit at Aston Primera Padjadjaran Bandung, Wednesday (28/09).

The workshop was attended by the managers of quality assurance, quality standard, and quality assurance unit staff in all faculties in Unpad. The workshop was officially opened by the Head of SPM Padjadjaran University, Dr. dra. Funny Rd Mustikasari Elita, M.Sc.

Paulus said, the fulfillment of the minimum standards 24 management study programs is associated with higher education quality assurance processes. The underwriting process is not just done for some time, but it must be sustainable. This process is to provide stakeholder satisfaction, especially for college.

Shall the fulfillment of the 24 minimum standard is met, Paulus explains, the course can raise quality standards in order to obtain a higher management standards. However, to be able to go beyond the minimum standard 24 requires the concerted effort of all stakeholders in the university.

Furthermore, Paulus said, the step of SNPT compliance consisted of standard-setting, implementation, evaluation, control, up to the stage of the increase in the standard. When this step is executed, it is expected that there will be an increase in sustainable standards.

As for the implementation of SNPT there are things that must be prepared, including policy documents (written guidance), manual internal quality assurance system, program study management standards, procedures, system implementation, evaluation and control, up to the design stage of the increase in the quality assurance system. *
