[Unpad.ac.id, 13/09/2016] As part of the celebration of its 59th anniversary, Universitas Padjadjaran University held an event named “Unpad Bersyukur” at Masjid Raya Padjadjaran Jatinangor Campus, Tuesday (13/09). University and faculty members, professors, lecturers, students, and management staff joined the event.
The event began with the Noon Prayer with the Rector, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad as the imam. After prayer, the academic community together recited Surah Ar-Rahman guided by Ust. Tatang Khaerudin, M. Hum., as the board member of Welfare Unit of Masjid Raya Padjadjaran.
In this occasion, the Rector said that “Unpad Bersyukur” was an act of gratitude for Unpad achievements for 59 years. These gifts, continued the Rector, should be optimized for Unpad to be able to run the mandates, especially in the aspect of increasing the capacity of higher education.
“The realization of this gratitude, I believe, will continue, in addition to maintaining a synergy among us. We are always reminded that what has been obtained today solely because of the mercy and grace of Allah,” said Rector.
Rector also hoped that this activity can be a boost for the academic community and educational staff in Unpad to synergize stronger. “By being continually grateful, it will be a provision for us to deliver a better life,” added Rector.
The event was closed with a prayer by the Head of Management Unit of Masjid Unpad, Abdul Hadiyanto Rachim, S. Sos., M.I.Kom.*
