[Unpad.ac.id, 19/10/2016] Students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran achievement in the two competitions held by the two universities in Indonesia. Two of these achievements, namely, the first prize at the National Paper Competition held at Gadjah Mada University, 13 to 15 October 2016, as well as third place in the National Debate Economic Issues (DIEN) in 2016 at the State University of Yogyakarta, 7-8 October 2016.

The first winner of the competition paper entitled “Call for Papers: Conference Bulaksumur II Public Action 2016” Prodi won by three students of Public Administration, namely Regi Pratama Putra (2014), Yusuf Abdullah (2014), and Arif Rahman (2014). Meanwhile the third prize at the event in 2016 achieved DIEN Iqbal Mohammed Sahid (Public Administration 2013), Rivaldi (Public Administration 2014), and Kiagus Ahmad Rifqi (Social Welfare 2013).
On paper competition, Unpad team sent something related to the implementation of SDGs in Indonesia. There are four sub-themes that the committee offered to participants, namely: gender equality, reduction of inequalities, peace and justice institutions are strong, and cooperation to achieve the goal. Four sub-themes were an embodiment of the 17 goals set forth in the SDGs.
Rega and his friends composed paper “Application of Public & Private Partnership For Development Models Bandung Teknopolis in Gedebage”. The paper was then presented before a jury and participants from 11 universities throughout Indonesia. In the competition, a total of 12 papers from 11 colleges presented by subthemes respectively.
During interview with PR Unpad, Rega said the paper had been presented in class. In such classes, the team dealing with presenters from Sriwijaya University, University of Indonesia, and the Maritime University of Raja Ali Haji.
In the paper, the team explained the importance of cooperation in the development of the Bandung area Teknopolis planned to be centered in Gede Bage Bandung. There are four elements involved in such cooperation, namely government, academia, communities, and employers. The involvement of the 4 elements is expected to support the region in accordance with sustainable development objectives.
“The concept Teknopolis in Indonesia itself is unique and has not yet exist and also private partnership that if implemented would be a new innovation policy,” said Rega.
For a month, Rega and his colleagues wrote a paper with the help of the supervisor, Drs. Usman Slamet Ismanto, M.Sc. The three also collect data directly on the Bandung Technology into several related government institutions.
Arif explained that the team itself quite surprised to be won in the competition. “I myself thought that other universities will win, because look at the potential of his paper. But thank God we can be still win, “said Arif.
National Debate Economic Issues in UNY

Meanwhile in the competition of DIEN 2016, Unpad team was up against seven teams from various universities throughout Indonesia. The competition itself consists of three preliminary rounds) namely the preliminary round, semifinal and final rounds.
“This competition is focused on the issue of economic studies. We were pessimistic, but we will prepare properly, “said Rivaldi.
In the preliminary round, Rivaldi said Unpad has not performed optimally, so that the position of Padjadjaran in the round are in the final sequence. Furthermore, still in the same round, the team set a strategy and made it into the semi-finals. In that round, Unpad team dealing with a team of UnSoed, UGM, and the State University of Semarang.
Furthermore Rivaldi said the debate based on the assessment of the acquisition value of victory point (victory points) as well as the amount of value you get from the team during the race. In these competitions, Padjadjaran University won third place with 257 points won second prize at Gadjah Mada University with 259 points, and Unsoed with points 267. *
