Cross-Sector Research Collaboration to Help Improve Public Health Degree

[Unpad.ac.id, 5/10/2016] Innovation and technological development in the field of health is needed to overcome the various problems that exist today. Through collaborative research, the researchers are expected to already have a roadmap to produce products that can benefit the community.

It was said by the Special Staff of the Minister of Health Prof. Field Service Improvement Dr. Med. Akmal Taher, dr., Sp. U (K) which on that occasion was presenting to represent and reading the speech of the Minister of Health Prof. Dr. dr. Nila F. Djuwita Moeloek, SpM (K) in Bandung 4th International Conference Biomolecular Medicine (BBMC) The Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung, Wednesday (4/10). This event was also held in conjunction with the 2nd ASEAN Congress on Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Biosciences.

“The Ministry of Health can not work alone, because it required collaboration across sectors that are sustainable,” he said.

Thus, by convening BIBMC 2016, it is expected to be huge market for innovation that is useful in improving public health. In addition, through this activity also occurs acceleration of research results could be useful for the welfare of society. Research must be integrated by involving academia, government, and industry.

The theme this year is “Innovation and Translational Medical Research to Ensure Healthy Lives and Promote Well-being for All at All Ages”.

“BIBMC was held in the spirit of enhancing the atmosphere of research and knowledge of biomolecular in Indonesia and ASEAN, including learning from experts from around the world,” said Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Yoni Fuadah Syukriani, dr., Sp.F., M.Si., DFM.

Also attending on the occasion is Rector, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad. This activity was attended by a number of participants and speakers from various countries, including Indonesia, Japan, Germany, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and Colombia. BIBMC 2016 will be held until October 6, 2016 to come. *
