[Unpad.ac.id, 10/11/2016] As a form of concern and care for the nation’s current problems, Faculty of Psychology Unpad will hold a national seminar entitled “Increasing the Resilience of Nations To Maintain Integrity of the Homeland” at Graha Sanusi Hardjadinata Campus Iwa Koesoemasoemantri , Jln. Dipati Ukur No. 35 Bandung, November 23, 2016. These activities are expected to contribute ideas for the sake of preserving the integrity of the nation.

According to the experts of Social Psychology, Prof. Dr. Tb. Zulrizka Iskandar, a variety of issues concerning the nation’s many psychological aspects, such as corruption, drug abuse, LGBT, poverty, and leadership. Many people’s behavior is detrimental to the nation itself, in addition there is also a process of weakening the nation. Thus, efforts in increasing the sense of belonging to the nation are required.
“Therefore there is no sense that this is ‘my country’, it is ‘our territory’. It requires a shared sense that this is ‘our country’,” said Prof. Zulrizka during the press conference at the Executive Lounge Unpad, Jln. Dipati Ukur No. 35 Bandung, Thursday (10/11).
For the sake of integrity of the Republic Indonesia in the future, Prof. Zulrizka invited us to not only hold silence. Hopefully, the efforts made today can continue to maintain the integrity of the Republic to subsequent generations.
This national seminar was held as part of the commemoration of the 55th Anniversary of the Faculty of Psychology Unpad. Aside from the psychological aspects, the discussion will also be made in the legal aspects, communication, education, and economics.
This event will feature the Commander General of Republic of Indonesia Armed Forces Gatot Nurmantyo as Keynote Speaker. Besides General Gatot Nurmantyo, Lt. Gen. Agus Sutomo, S.E., M.M will discuss about the resilience of the region, Prof. Zulrizka Iskandar with material on resiliency and national identity, as well as Prof. Ida Nurlinda, SH will deliver material on resiliency in a legal perspective.
In addition, there will also a discussion of the aspects of the resilience of nations through education, family, and media that each will be delivered by Anies Baswedan, Ph.D, Prof. Dr. Juke R. Siregar, M.Pd., and Prof. Deddy Mulyana, M.A., Ph.D.
Also participated in speakers at this seminar are Prof. Armida S. Alisjahbana, S.E., M.A., Ph.D. presenting “Economic Sustainability Studied through Sustainable Development”, Dr. Zainal Abidin, M.Si with the matter “Resilience of Nations assessed through the Political Psychology”, and Major General Witjaksono, M.Sc. presenting “Strategies in Efforts to Maintain Nation and the Homeland”. *
